Lazy German shepherd or still sore from surgery?

I really do not know if its because she was spayed about 3 weeks ago because before that she was bursting with energy. Now all it seems she wants to do is chill around the house and eat and sleep. She doesnt want to go out bike riding anymore, and for walks she just wants to hang back and she isnt as 'proud' as she was before. I mean she still sees a frizby and goes crazy because its her favorite toy and we will go out and throw it but she tires out very quickly now and wants to go inside.

as of right now im kind of wishing i didnt get her spayed but i didnt want to look up one day and she has ran off and got knocked up by some stray because we live in the backwoods and i have seen that happen before.

anyone with tips/advice help me out?

How old was your GSD when you had her spayed? Was there any complication from the procedure? How does the spot where the cut was made look, still clean and healthy?

If the actual procedure was done fine and it doesnt look like there is infection/swelling then i believe 3 weeks is a bit long for the dog to not want to play.

I remember picking Pandora up after she was spayed and they told me to keep her calm and i took one look at the vet tech and said "yeah right" as the lady who went to get Pandora was practically being dragged out, lol.

Pandora pretty much jumped right into my arms when she saw me. It would have taken restraints and lots of drugs to keep her calm. They also gave me pain meds for her but she never seemed in any pain. I gave her one a day anyway just to make sure.

I don't remember her being calm at all after the surgery. I had her spayed at 7 months before she ever had a heat cycle.

Is your GSD eating and drinking about the same as usual? Those are always signs that the dog could possibly be sick and could be unrelated to the spay.

If it keeps up could always just have a check up at the vet make sure everything is okay.

Dogs through the years I've had spayed never had that kind of reaction. I'm thinking a another Vet visit might be in order. She could have a low grade infection running through body. Blood test might help, or even a different Vet.
