Need help with Prong collar

I finally got my capped prong collar in the mail. I have absolutely no idea how to use it. I tried it today and it kept turning over and the prongs didn't stay inward. Plus it loosens or slides very easily.
Help!

If it's flipping in and moving around too much, it's too big. Remove some of the links. It should be fitted up high, not around the base of the neck. Oh, and be careful, never put the collar on over the dogs head, unhook one of the prongs (you just have to squeaze it) to put on and take it off like a regular buckle collar. You don't want to accidently jam one of the prongs (even covered) into you dogs eyes.

Yes, it is to big.

I would take the collar and your dog to someone that is familar with prongs and have them fit it for you. Many pet stores, traininers, and some vets can help you with it!

Hi please try and find someone locally that can show you the proper way to set it up and use it. I like the prong collar. I think it is much better than a choke for training, but it needs to be properly fitted and used correctly so it both is safe and has the desired effect.

I just moved it for you. Good luck with the collar.
