Question Housebreaking blues. Help!

Hello.
I have a 4-5 month old Sharpei/Chow pup. Very loveable n cute, but housbreaking is killing me.
I let her out regularly, feed her then let her out after and in the morning and afternoon before bed, but its like she holds it till she comes in, then uses the bathroom????
Never in thesame place either.
We have a 3lb chihuahua and im wondering if she is trying to mark territory over n over? What can I do? Im at wts end. Tnx HG

potty training help

If you don't have a crate, now might be a good time to get one.
Rule#1 if you take the dog out and it doesn't go potty, then she isn't allowed to run free in the house. Put her in the crate and try again later. When she does potty outdoors, PRAISE< PRAISE, praise!!! Then she may be allowed freedom in your house. Stick to a feeding, walking, playtime schedule. Make sure when you take her out you go to the same spot each time and do not play with her outside. teach her that Outdoors equals potty. Once she "goes" outside and you return to the house you can try keeping her at your side on a long leash so that you always have control of her and the situation.
