I Am So Excited Right Now I Cant Contain Myself

I did it. I built a jump for Chance. Gonna hit up walmart later to see if I can buy a tunnel for fun too. This is what it looks like. i am waiting for fiancee to get home to cut the holes for the different heights. I am going CRAZY with anticipation. Its too dark out for a video right now but Im gonna try him with it, then take the poles and paint them so I know which poles go where so I can take it apart to take to the real park and I'll know which pieces go where. YAY!

Yeah it looks very promising to me. Just make the stand and the base strong enough for the dog training.

Im sure your dog will love this one.

Make sure you drill holes low enough so you can do this with Kody too.

I go help at Agility Trials sometimes (locally) and there is this guy with two hounds who does agility and one of the hounds is a Beagle. He is an older gentleman.. looks like he came down out of the Catskill Mountains and the dogs both look like they hunt too.

However, while they don't WIN the trials, they complete the course and they are accurate! Hounds are not your typical Agility dogs, but it sure looks like they have fun.

The kid tunnels you get at Walmart are not strong enugh for turns (the dog needs to bank off the turn in the tunnel when they run thru) but they are great for teaching the dog to go thru a tunnle and you can have a lot of fun. I think Beagles would be naturals for the tunnel. LOL

Those pieces are still uncut, right? Will there be a support bar connecting the two standards? How will the jump bar be set on? Don't do it so it won't come off if the dogs hit it, or you may end up with a dog who doesn't care about grazing the pole when jumping.

My fiance drileld screws into and the poles sit on the screws so that if Chance BARELy touches it with his foot, the bar gets knocked off. I trimmed it down, made it shorter, about 35 inches tall total. And I reincforced the bottom so the side poles wont fall down. I can still easily take it apart as I will need to transport it.
