Pup will not learn...Help Me Please

My pup, Bugsy, is 8 months old. He has a bad habit of grabbing my son's pacifier and eating it. I keep buying packs of pacifiers and it is getting costly. Everytime it drops anywhere, he is there to get it and then he runs off and shoves it to the back of his mouth. I have to literally pry his mouth open to get it out. He does the same thing with food that my kids have.....Does anyone have advice for me? Thank You

Don't let the dog in the room your kids are in when they are sucking on their pacifiers or are eating. You will need to take your dog to obedience class so they can teach it the leave it command. You can do it at home but it needs to be done at class so the dog can learn to obey it with distractions.

See if your humane society offers obedience class. Thats what I did and they were really good. My dog learned from them, sit, down, leave it, and come. I taught him myself to, speak, and beg.

Hey,
At around 8 months your pup is going through
a teething cycle. Buy him some chew toys and
give him some frozen doggy treats to help relief the frustration.

you also need to teach the "leave it!" command. a beginner obedience class usually covers this, even the ones in petsmart etc.

In the meantime, for the pacifiers- have you ever seen the ribbons that clip to childs clothes and velcro to hold the paci? That would be a great way to keep them from falling on the floor so you can help save yourself from buying more
