Emergency Recall

Last night in class we learned emergency recall. I was soo suprised how quickly Mochi caught on!!

We used Canned Tuna as the food.

and KOI KOI for our emergency word.

What are your word/treat combo??

Re: Emergency Recall

WANNABISCUIT! will pretty much ensure instant recall in our crew...unless they're in pursuit of real, live game (squirrel or bunny)...in that case, I'm not sure there's anything that would distract the greyhounds I'm pretty proud at the recall our podengos have...I've called them off a squirrel pretty easily with our standard recall word "come"

eta: I also practice "down" from various distances and with various distractions. There may be cases where I don't want them to "come" but also don't want them to move from where they are (i.e. get loose near a busy road that I don't want them trying to cross on their own). The podengos are pretty reliable. The greyhounds...well...lets just say I'm just ultra cautious that they never get loose.
