Hold the treat tightly in your fist...do not allow her to take it until she is gentle. If her bites are too painful, place the treat on the end of a metal spoon. Hide the spoon under your palm with only the tip sticking out so its not so noticeable, offer her the treat. Most dogs don't like biting down on metal and will take the treats more carefully after a few tries.
