| Favorite tricks? My guy Deuce loves to pull a sled with kids on it during the winter. That's fun for us. I'm wondering what tricks everyone else's dog does? What's the coolest one? Funniest? What do you wish your dog could do? |

| Re: Favorite tricks? Hmmmm...Sophie knows ALOT of tricks and cues, but do believe her favorite one has got to be roll over!!! She will get so carried away when I ask for a Spin, or Drop that she will go right into a roll over instead sometimes...she just loves "roll over rover!!!" hahahahaha!!!
Let me see if I can remember most of her cues...
Sit, Stay, Drop, Back, Bed, Kennel, Back Up, Wait, Leave It, Which One, Shake, High Five, Get the Light, Spin, Over, Through, Jump It, Up, Off, Roll Over, Drop It, Out, Take It, Come, Front, Finish, Settle, Go NUTS, Mark It\Touch, Crawl, No Beg, Hide your Eyes, Nice, Stand, In, Catch It, Watch Me, Down, Walk it, Weave...
I'm pretty sure I am forgetting some, but that is the gist...she's pretty bright, and loves to learn!

| Re: Favorite tricks? Puddles has all her basic commands pretty much down. She has now mastered the bang your dead. Also we play frisbee and she is trying real hard to toss it back to me...she thrashes her head and throws nomatter what direction but I know she is trying to get it back to me
Iris sits and lays now.
Dozer does what Dozer wants when Dozer wants to do it. But when I have treats he will do cartwheels. thats a joke. |

| Re: Favorite tricks? My favorite trick was PUDDLES! Tessa my rott loved puddles and all I'd have to do was yell PUDDLES and she'd run all over the property looking for one and then she'd run through it at full speed. The look of absolute joy on her face is something I'll always remember. |

| Re: Favorite tricks? I never used to think of all the obedience commands as tricks, so I guess my dogs know a lot more tricks than I thought. Both my dogs, return to heel, beg & shake hands - the other one/the other one. I tried to teach Sooty roll over & with her long legs, she freaked out.
I didn't teach beg until they were both over 12 months old. Its important to not put too much pressure on growing bones & joints with some of the tricks.
I almost forgot, April would step back & let me go through doorways 1st. She taught herself to open the bathroom door. She would come barging in when I was in there, look to see what I was doing, I would close the door again, then she would want to leave & open the door. She would also look for the cat. I used to say, 'where's Coco', & she would look all around the lounge room at all Coco's usual sleeping places.
I would have liked to teach Say your Prayers.

| Re: Favorite tricks? My dogs know tons of tricks, from the basic ones too ones that I made up. My favorite one though is one I taught Belle, its actually pretty simple but its alot of fun. I taught her to "touch" things. Teeheehee I point to something or tap it and say touch and she touches it with her paw. |
