Smile special treats for dogs?-advise please

I have 2 puppies and when i train them i would give dog biscuit ( beef flavour ) which they seem to like it, BUT i know people that have dogs and know more about them would have some special menu like liver or something like this. anyone can give me advise on this please, because i've been having problem getting attention from my puppies when we go for a walk, obviously biscuit is not special even know it works when i train them at home, but not outside the house.
( i give them row meat for their meals and biscuit for training)
Do you have any recipe that's really good for your dogs?
PS:we live in hot country,Thailand ,so maybe you have some special menu to suggest on a hot day too

I buy soft treats from the pet store and cut them up small. Or I use cheese, cooked chicken, liver.
