What tricks/commands does your dog know?

So what tricks and or commands does your dog know? Here is a video of what Snoopy knows,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G4RErTfg5kY

He also knows come, but he doesn't always obey it in the house for some reason, but he has a solid recall outside.

Re: What tricks/commands does your dog know?

Snoopy is so cute..The speak was pretty funny. It's like he didn't want to bark.
I'm very big on train all of our dogs.

My dogs know the following, some commands sound similar but each listed has a different purpose. I am sure I forgot some I don't use open.
Verbal:
Sit
Down
Wait
Stay
Watch me
Take it
Leave it
Drop it
Up
Come
"Ahhn!" which means No
Okay
Outside
Heel
"Where's Mommy?"
Easy (slow down durring heel)
Hurry (pick up the pase)
Shake(Duncan & Buster)
High five(Buster)
Kisses
On your pillow
Go to bed
Roll-Over(Teddie & Mahalo)
Dinner

Hand signals:
Sit
Down
Roll-over
Watch me
Wait
Stay
High five

He always does that when I ask him to speak, its like he has to sneeze to clear his throat or something and then he has to bark to warm up a bit.

Re: What tricks/commands does your dog know?

At 3,75 months old Akira knows:

- Assis (sit)
- Couche (lay down)
- Reste (stay)
- Donne la patte (shake hands)
- Non (no)
- Fais le beau (?)
- Va chercher (go fetch)
- Au pied (heel)
- Bisous (kiss)

And I am hoping to teach him more later

By the way Snoopy is so cute

Re: What tricks/commands does your dog know?

I love the speak as well. I like it as a little mini growl, that is how my guy talks as well.

My newer dog doesn't know much of anything. He gets a sympathy pass because he has a bad leg. All he knows is:
Come, Sit, Down, Stay, Leave it, High five, shake, out, get up, get back, heel, watch it, wait, What did you say (speak), stand, sort of a roll over. That is pretty sad. He is lucky I love him.

My old girl knew: Come, sit, down, stay, stand, wait, leave it, take it, out, hold it, watch me, find it, directed jumping, shake, high five, heel, get back, get up, watch it, mark it,over, catch, lights, roll over, dead, speak, beg, round em up. I am sure there are more, but for some reason, I am not thinking of them. LOL

Carsten's list is short so easy to remember. Sit, down, heel, get up, come, starting to get stay (short times) learning take it, pretty good at out, roll over, starting to get shake. Speak, I am not encouraging just yet as he already has too much to say. LOL

Yes! My bf wanted to train him in German but I do not speak it yet! So we elected for my first language which he speaks too.

Re: What tricks/commands does your dog know?

Je parle un peu du Français, aussi, bien que ce ne soit pas ma première langue. (Avez-vous deviné? Lol...) En anglais, "fais le beau" est "prient." Je pense...

In English, "fais le beau" means "beg." I think...

Alvin knows sit, stay, down, here, wait, leave it, chill, watch me, drop it, take it, get your <toy or whatever>, back, let's go, visit, stand, and shake.

Inga, what's wrong with your big boy's leg? I don't think I knew he had a bad one.

Re: What tricks/commands does your dog know?

Oliver was brought in to the pound to be euthanized when he was just a puppy. He had a leg injury and the people didn't want to deal with it. Turns out he had been kicked around a bit. he also had a jaw fracture. hence his goofy bite. He has been to the vet many times. They ruled out surgery for fear it would end up worse. He can walk fine, but he should not jump. When I take him for longer walks he will limp some. He acts pretty normal, but then gets sort of weak, in his hind leg. Hips are fine, just a weakness in the one leg I guess. He is just... Special for so many reasons. LOL

Dakota Spirit will become famous soon enough
Re: What tricks/commands does your dog know?

Let's see, Dakota knows:

Sit
Down
Stand (on her hind legs)
Pretty Girl (Ears up and front legs folded forward while in the 'Stand' position)
Come
Stay
Leave It
Drop It
Peek (over the back of the couch, around a corner etc.)
Shake Hands
Wave

...I might be missing a few. Most of those commands also have accompanying hand signals. I'm always looking for something new to teach, which would explain my small collection of dog trick/command guides

Re: What tricks/commands does your dog know?

So far Kuma Knows:
Sit
Down
Stay
Wait (used for when we go through doors, stairs, etc.)
Off
Come
"Let's go" (heel)
Crawl
"Which one?" (this is where I hold both hands forward, with a treat in one, and he guesses which has the treat and hits that hand with a paw)

We're working on:
Take a bow
Spin
"Back" (where he jumps backwards on his hind legs. He almost has this one down)

Re: What tricks/commands does your dog know?

sit
shake
down
roll over
jump
stand
come
wait
run
drop it
leave it
bring it
watch me
off
quiet
night night (go to crate)
outside
inside
upstairs
downstairs
where's mommy (a bunch of "where's" commands, kids, cat, toys, leash, etc.)
kiss
be sweet
load up (get in the car)
go potty

Two pretty important ones are noticably absent...we're pretty weak on stay (they do know wait though) and heel right now.

Re: What tricks/commands does your dog know?

Snoppy is adorable! Great video.

Here are things my 6 month old collie knows. I have been working with him since he was 12 weeks old:

Shake,
Wave(still working on the cue with him, but getting there),
Head down(for when he hopefully becomes a Therapy dog, he will lie down and put his head in your lap and patiently sit there until you release him),
Roll over, roll back
Crawl(he looks real cute doing this one)
high five
Which hand has the treat?(he will put his paw over which one he believes it is, if he is wrong he will switch paws and hands)
bark
Jump
heels off leash
wait
Hold paw up
turn around
bow(he loves this one)
sit,
stay,
come,
down,
leave it,
take it,
watch me,
play dead,
he is learning to weave between your legs
he is also currently learning how to hold signs, and his leash(started last night). I hope to have him 'walking the dog' soon.

Just a few pictures of him doing some of the tricks

Here he is at 16 weeks 'begging'

Holding his paw at 18 weeks

play dead

"Take a Bow"
