Puddles training

We have had some great progress of late with her. She sits, lays and plays dead..Her recall is just about perfect now. I let her off leash yesterday in my yard and we played a recall game. I would let her run her crazy head off in circles then say "STOP" and she stops on a dime. It was BEAUTIFUL! We dont use treats anymore and praise is her main motivator, She does get her some natural balance roll afterwards for a job well done. I do believe we are well on our way to shining up her obiedience and off to Earthdog we go!! She is setting a fine example for little Iris too

Thanks Everyone!

Puddles does "work" for my company. I do alot of demo work and since Hurricane Katrina I have been doing alot of abandoned buildings and houses. Alot of anaimals were feared dead when they were actually lost..Alot of Cats. Once we were tearing down a home and a very pregnant cat ran out. I was in shear horrer thinking that she could have had kittens in there. So Puddles, and soon to be Iris will be my tracking dogs so we dont have any accidents like that. I think Earthdog would be a great benefit to thier training.
