You can say what you like, the more info the better. Knowledge is power!

I had two trainers argue over how to stop Mia's mouthing. That wasn't so pleasant. One is for the newer, less dominant method, she mentioned you know who with his Spppptttttt sound. She said Mia is a baby and normal.

The other took me aside and told me to plop her down by the neck and make her settle. She said that Mia needs to stop drawing blood on my hands and that she doesn't agree with the new methods.

So, we'll find our way by learning here. And, Bitter Apple has done wonders on my hands. She only mouths at night when she zooming around. And, she always kisses faces.

ADPT is the membership and yes, anyone can join but to obtain a CPDT you have to sit for a test.

Honestly, I prefer IAABC Certification, they also tend to hold their members to a pretty high standard.

Yes, definately. I'm working towards my IAABC certificationb ut it's a LONG way off. :P I'm hoping to sit the CPDT test in the spring.

I'm not saying ADPT membership is a bad thing- at all! I'm just saying that it's a STARTING point at looking at a trainer's credentials- not the be-all-and-end-all. It's sort of like going to a counselor who has a BA in Psychology versus a therapist with a master's or PhD in the same subject, or a psychiatrist with a MD.
