Re: Whining dogs at night

Crate training is great and once you have crate trained dogs you will never be without crates, but expect it to take some time since you'll be crate training adult dogs.

A couple suggestions: (1) make picking up all the toys into a before bedtime game with your daughter, and (2) install a baby gate across her room door way. That way you can block off the dogs' access but your daughter's door can still remain open.

Boxers CAN jump really high, so even though we have a baby gate, its no obstical for him!!! He'll go into my daughters room in the middle of the night and lick her face until she wakes up(such love! He adores her!) and then we're in for a LONG night...LOL. He's very crafty and finds his way up to the top of the dresser and also her stuffed animals on the bed...lol we wake up and her poor teddy bear has been disembowled....Now thats trauma for a 4year old!!LOL.
