Competitions

Does anybody know how I can find out if there are any local Obidiance competitions for mixed breeds in my area? Anybody compete with their dog? It seems like it would be fun to do, somthing to work for, ya know?

Re: Competitions

go to either the akc.org site and do a search on events
or go to infodog.com and search by state
when you do so make sure you are spelling OBEDIENCE correctly or your search won't work....

infodog you can search by state and it has a code that it tells you what events are offerred where
the akc site has a listing of what is coming up in various regions as well
good luck

we do compete in obedience here.

Re: Competitions

Actually, for mixed breeds, your best bet is to start out at UKCDogs.com - the UKC allows spayed and neutered mixes in their performance evvents through an agreement with AMBOR. They've got lots of events up your direction. Other venues would be ASCA (Australian Shepherd Club of America) but I don't know how many events they have up there.

Amborusa.com is the website.

Re: Competitions

We have NADAC on the west coast for mixed breeds. Do they have it in the Midwest as well?
