Thank you for the reply

Megan was crate trained for the first 2 years of her life. We live in somewhat of the country and we have trained her to stay on our property so we wanted her to have freedom and not be a craated dog. She is great with every other kind of training we have done and is a great girl! We camp with her, she is a total "boat" dog and other than this problem I cannot complain. The crate thing? We only kept her in it when needed. She learned that if we were leaving, she would go into and wait until we closed it when we left and she was fine. One day we kept finding her outside of it with it still latched and to this day cannot figure out how she did it. She finally one day literally busted out the door of it and we never used it again besides it being her "bedroom". We can tell her "go to your room" and she goes right and lays down. We even just took the whole front of it off and it is now a crate-dog house

She even figured out how to unlatch the door at the vet when we board her and let herself out. She is completely un-containable!! Like I said before, she is getting soooo much better with this and I' know we'll get through it, but is it something we may have caused??
