Toilet Training?

Hi there, I'm not actually a dog owner (yet?) but I was wondering if any has ever heard of/attempted to train their dog to use the toilet, as in the porcelain flushing toilet we humans are so fond of. I know cats can be trained to do so.

Re: Toilet Training?

I ask this of people who train their cats to do it (never heard of dogs doing it though)...........WHY? I mean come on, I love my animals with all my heart, but there's just a few things I won't share with them, and one is my toilet. EWW.

Re: Toilet Training?

Haha, I know what you're saying; I was asking out of curiosity more than anything. I just thought about it because I have a really strong aversion to feces. It's not so much the smell or anything, it's just a gut reaction that I start retching.
