Is there any advantage to saying "good" or "good boy" when I pop the treat in my dog's mouth after I have clicked his correct behavior? Or should nothing at all be said and the treat be given without saying anything?

The "click" is the equivelent to saying "good" after the behavior is exhibited, so I would ditch the word.

You can say it if you want, but the click is what marks the behavior, so you don't have to. >^^;<

Thanks for the help. Just one more thing.
When my dog has learned Sit but I have not yet introduced the verbal command, do I replace the verbal command with the click?
In other words when I want to start associating the command "sit" with the act of him sitting, do I stop clicking and say "sit" instead, or do I stop clicking to mark the behavior and instead say "Sit"?

its an object called a Clicker which makes a clicking sound. The clicking sound is used to have the dog associate the click from the clicker with a desired behaviored which is followed by a treat. Its just positive reinforcement. you give dog a command, dog follows command, you use click to indicate s/he did want you wanted, then give treat as a reward.
