| Re: Dog Doors, Loneliness - want to do the right thing.... I would only get a sitter or walker if you can only spend time with them on your days off from work. Dogs sleep 10+ hours a day and can sleep more if they get bored and will sleep more as puppies and as they get to middle age and older.
From what I've read in your posts I would get two sibilings. You said rescued dogs is what you want (good for you). They will have already been housetrained and socialized to toys. Give them the toys they need both indoor and outdoor and spend your after supper time with them and they'll be fine. A morning walk before work would be great. It breaks up the day for them and you can get some exercise which is why I do it. |
