| Pedi-paws Pedi-paws is a good product to use on calm submissive dogs that aren't fearful. It makes a noise that scares the cr@p out of my pit bull, but it works really well.
It smells pretty bad when its grinding the nails too.

| Re: Pedi-paws It also works great for owners that have clipped their dog's quick a long time ago and have a total fear of the nail clippers. lol
I have 3 dogs and 1 has dark nails, I can't see the quick and he does not mind the pedipaw at all. the other one hates the thing with a passion and yips just having it put to his paw so I do snip his w/clippers, although he doesn't care for that much either which makes my confidence factor less than favorable but at least I can trim off the tip. he also has very long quick. third doggie lays down and goes to sleep and snores while his are being done and so I clip his.
It is a good product if the dog is flinchy, doesn't hold still long enough to get the clipper around the tip of the nail.
some don't like the pedi paw and prefer a dremel that is much better made. for $20 bucks, it is an inexpensive purchase for what I need it for. |

| Re: Pedi-paws I take it back. In the grooming section, I had originally posted that I loved my pedi Paws. I take it back. I hate it! I find it takes too long to grind my dogs nails. I rather use a nail clipper. |

I can do both my dogs even from embarrassingly long claws to nubbies in less than 10 minutes combined and I stop and treat them after each paw. |

| Re: Pedi-paws Yes, it only has one speed, and it takes forever to do one paw, and Sadie's nails aren't even long. when they are long, I rather use the clippers. Then I use the pedi paw to shape them.
I think I'm going to start using my husband's Dremel to do their nails!! |

| Re: Pedi-paws how do you use the dremel? I mean like which thing do you put on it? I would love for my dogs nails to be rounder rather then with the sharp edges you get with triming.... |

| Re: Pedi-paws I found a really good detailed guide that addresses every aspect of grinding nails with a dremel- everything from what to use to how to get it done right. http://homepages.udayton.edu/~merens...el/dremel.html |

| Re: Pedi-paws I like the pedi-paws, though honestly I can't remember if mine is a knockoff. I do a full terrier in about 5-7 mins- I am *very* comfortable clipping nails (have worked for vets) and I still like it since my dogs' nails are all black- I just can't be sure I won't quik them and it's not worth the risk to me (or having to find the powder and stop the bleeding!)
I've found the pedipaws to be quick and easy- I've also used a regular dremel with sandpaper with success |

| Re: Pedi-paws A dremel is a multi purpose tool that can use many different attachments. I use mine for etching, wood work, and grindign metal as well as cutting plastic agility jump cups when it's not in use with my dogs. The ones sold for dogs are often lower speed, sometimes lower quality and lower power versions of the name brand with less versatility. |
