Grizzly Nutreats

One treat that I really like that I haven't seen mentioned here before is Grizzly Nutreats. They are grain-free, supposedly low calorie (I have fed ridiculous amounts of them to my dogs in one session, without noticeable effect on weight) and relatively affordable.

The ingredients are: wild salmon, naturally hydrolized salmon protein, salmon bone powder, salmon oil, smoked wild salmon, alfalfa powder, porcine gelatin, deep sea kelp, mixed natural tocopherols and rosemary extract.

My dogs go CRAZY for them. With my beagles I never thought I would know the meaning of low- or high-value treats -- they treated everything like dripping bacon -- but they will really work and recall for these more so than for other treats. They are a good size.

One thing to bear in mind is that they have a very fishy smell. It's pretty strong and will linger on your hands if you don't have a good wash afterwards. Calcium is also fairly high at 59% so be sparing when training large breed pups.

I get mine for about US$7.80, for a pack of 150 treats.
