Crate Games? Say Yes Dog Training...

Has anyone used this DVD? I have a dog that is extremely claustrophobic of her crate. Being crate trained is a valuable tool and you don't realize that until you don't have it. All my previous dogs were crate trained no problem. I really would like her to learn to love the crate do you think this DVD will help?

Re: Crate Games? Say Yes Dog Training...

I have never seen a dvd for this, I have always just done it the old fashion way I guess, leave the door open, put toys & a lil bed in there, feed her in there, & when ever you give treats give them to the dog in the crate, this makes them like the crate. Sometimes my dogs just go lay in there crate for fun I guess.

Re: Crate Games? Say Yes Dog Training...

I've tried all that and it is NOT working. I need a more aggressive approach to get her to be crate safe. This is the first dog that I have ever owned that I cannot get to even be comfortable in the crate let alone "happy." I know some people will tell me not to push the subject, just don't crate her. However, for traveling purposes and medical purposes it would be really nice if I could get her to be semi-ok with crating.

I am currently using this method to crate train my Aussie puppy and it seems to be working well. I also know others who have used it with success.
