(While not specifically a dog product, I myself have been using it exclusively to shoot dog movies.)
This is an obscenely simple little camcorder. The manual is a single page and can be skipped. It's roughly the size of an iPod classic, has a simple 2x digital zoom, a power switch and record and playback buttons. It will store up to 60 minutes of video.
The software is built-in as is the USB connection. You plug it in to a USB port and the software pops up and walks you through the options.
You can save the videos to your computer, or post them automatically to YouTube or other video-sharing sites. There is some basic editing software included.
I bought mine at OfficeMax for about $140. I've also seen them at Circuit City.
BTW, I have a good, hi-def camcorder, but it's such a production to use, that I rarely do, and I've never gotten the hang of converting the videos to a format that works well with YouTube.
