Orthopedic dog bed

Anyone know which beds are the best for a dog who is starting to wake up with stiff joints? It's Jim, my 65# boxer mix. I am looking for a bed that is relatively inexpensive and thick enough to support him while he sleeps. If it comes down to a good bed vs. price, I will happily bite the bullet and help my friend.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thank you for your time!

Re: Orthopedic dog bed

I ordered a very nice and somewhat expensive ($179) ortho bed for Beau, who has OCD, left shoulder. It didn't hold up well, so I got some of that memory foam, had it cut to size and placed inside the cover of one of their "regular" beds. It's awesome! A lot cheaper, too!

I just bought this bed (http://www.poochieheaven.com/doublet...ic-dogbed.html) for my 100lb German Shepherd who had pano has a puppy.

It has held up well so far! And it really this 6" thick, makes me kind of jealous.
