Advice on a good harness

What is the best harness to use for an athletic dog?

I want a good harness that I can put on Lula when we go for bike rides and to use on hiking trips. I've been looking high and low and can't seem to find one. We've tried the "standard" harness and with Lula's body type (she is thin but has a deep chest.......body much like a greyhound) the medium harnesses are too small around the girth and the large size is all around much toooooo large....... even when adjusted to it's smallest size. I've tried two other types and one would rub her arm pits raw when she ran or climbed over rocks when hiking and the other well I don't want to even get into it.....long story.....

I was thinking of a sled dog harness but Lula does NOT pull at all when we are riding the bike and is happy running right next to us. She usually runs off leash when we hike but we want something that we can grab on to just in case or a harness that we can help assist her up or down very steep/large rocks or ledges.

I was going to get a Ruffwear Web Master Harness seen here

but I've ran into two different people on the trail and there dog had this harness and they didn't like it. They both said it was there first time using it on there dogs. They both said it seems the dogs get far too hot and sweaty and they wouldn't recommend it for any outdoor activity. It looks like it would be the perfect harness for what I want but now I'm scared to try it from what others have said. Does any one else have experience with this harness?
