Food Game Toy

Ollie eats like she was starved as a child. Which I know for a fact is not the case. But she keeps choking on her kibble. Now I stand oer her and make her take breaks. But I want to get her a toy that will hold her whole meal, and dispense the food slowly but not to slowly.

It will be used twice a day for a limited time, so I don't need a brain buster for the toy. Something that will release all of the kibble in about 10 minutes. It also needs to hold at least 2 cups of food.

Any recommendations?

The large Tug-a-Jug may be your answer. If you're crafty I'm sure you could remove the rope and replace it with a thinner one that would dispense the food quicker. But frankly, I enjoy seeing a dog work at a toy for 1/2 an hour while I read a book. Of course you could make your own kibble dispensing toy out of PVC parts from the plumbing isle of a hardware store.

That very well might work. I like the fact that she will be able to see inside the toy. She can look in and see that that there is food left. A little extra motivation besides smell and sound.

I give them food motavated toys to keep them occupied. But since this will be for her meal, I wanted something quick and easy. She will have to use it on days where when I am rushing or when we are out of town.

But this looks great. I never even knew this site existed.

Check out the treat stix or brakefast bowl.

A treat stix looks like an old pool chorline holder. Screw on lid, hole at the bottom put the kibble inside the dog plays with it and the food will come out the hole.

A brakefast bowl is a bowl that has three protruding pieces up into the bowl, which is supposed to slow a dog down when eating because they have to eat around those protruding tower things.

Hope this helps.
