I havent heard of the ebook, but I think that some breed selector quizes plus some diligent googling and thoughtful research could accomplish the same thing for free.
I did lots of reseach on the internet and by the time I got around to buying a book on my breed... I already knew everything in the book!

Then do a search for the breed club on google, and they'll have listings to reputible breeders in your state. Ex: Pomeranians breed club is the American Pomeranian Club.
That was the basic process I went though, and it worked well for me. At first there were a lot of breeds I was considering, but eventually you'll narrow it down! Keep us updated on your search!
