Product for itchy, flaky skin

My 11 week old GSMD Puppy, Daisy, developed itchy, flaky skin after we bathed her in Earthbath Aloe & Oatmeal. We took her to the vet to rule out mites/allergy/etc. and the vet agreed it was the shampoo and gave us a vet recommended shampoo that dried her out even more! Lesson learned: we're not going to bathe her for a while so her natural oils etc can build back up. But she she's so itchy and uncomfortable! Any suggestions for lotion/oil/spray/supplement that will help? Thank you!

If it doesn't clear up have your Vet check for Cheyletiellosis, walking dandruff mites.

Ask your vet about giving her benadryl for the itch.

Take the puppy out and play in the grass for a while, it may help.

I love a product called " Inflight" ( attaching the link) Not only is it great for coat, but unbelievable help with dry skin. Femka always had dry skin due to her thyroid problems, and if it worked on her, it should really work well on your puppy. Here is the link. Its a food additive put right on their food and granular in nature.

Hi, I'm new here. Looks like a great site. Anyway, have you tried Bingo Bath?
It's all natural, non-toxic and so on with no soaps or chemicals, spray it on and towel it off, very gentle and effective. I get it at bingobath.com (am I allowed to put a site in a post? if not, will the admin please let me know).

Anyway I haven't given Asha a "real" bath in a while now, this stuff isn't just for touch ups. Since Asha loves peppermint patties (yes, I know how bad chocolate is for dogs, but I do let her have tiny tastes every so often) anyway, the scent on the bath is peppermint so she just loves it. Of course it doesn't take much for her to love something better than slip sliding in the tub, getting water and soap in her ears, and swallowing soapy water. Yuck, I wish I'd found Bingo Bath sooner.

Adding some fish oil, vegetable oil or olive oil to her food will help soften her skin and coat. I give my dogs fish oil with wheatgerm oil in their food and they have soft lustrous coats and never scratch even during shedding.I also feed raw which is another reason they have such nice coats.

I absolutely love it. Put it in your pets food once a day and their skin is no longer flaky. Moving from humid Hawaii to dry Colorado my cats skin started cracking and flaking and it looked horrible. Then I bought this product and she looks great on it (skin and coat).

i noticed an improvement in my dogs' coats after using salmon oil. The two best brands are Kronch and grizzly.

If you add it to water then you have a "gravy" that they love- plus it helps to get them to eat food that they don't like.

Both kronch and grizzly salmon oil is cold pressed and better quality than generic fish oil.
