Tough Stuffie and the Buster Cube

Does that sound like a good name for a rap group to anyone else? Lol...

Anyway, just wanted to share my satisfaction with two products I fairly recently bought for Alvin. The first is his Buster Cube, which I got for him when his ACL injury first put him out of commission. It's a good way to wear him out without straining his knee too badly. He has a strange method for using it. He rolls it wildly for a bit, scattering kibble all over the rug, then goes back and searches out each piece later on. Not only does he seem to enjoy using the Cube, it totally exhausts him. When he's gotten all the kibble out, he goes to get a big drink, then promptly falls asleep. Video of Buster Cube usage (short):

The other product comes from a line called "Tuffies," which are supposed to be "the world's 'tuff'est soft dog toys." Alvin generally makes quick work of de-stuffing stuffies, but this Tuffies lobster (yes, a lobster) has been around for a while. I picked it up at Petsmart, but here's the link to their website. And here is Alvin playing with it:

I see you have a serious problem with your dog. You must send him to me immediately!

I heart Alvin.

Indeed... He appears to have only one eye. And a limp. Obviously defective. You can have him.

Re: Tough Stuffie and the Buster Cube

We tried the Tuffie's line with our dog, not the lobster, but the Tuffie's Ultimate Stone Bone. I think the Stone Bone has a 'tuff'er rating according to the company's scale--not completely sure. The Tuffie's Stone Bone is an 8 on a 1 to 10 scale of durability. We were totally unimpressed. Based on the marketing, we thought it would be a great soft toy for our puppy, but she annihilated it within minutes. You can read more about the destruction at: http://www.maddiethedane.com/weblog/...s-ultimat.html

Re: Tough Stuffie and the Buster Cube

Buster cubes are great.

I've had one in the house for a very long time. Thought they were great until
Tessa came along... she would just pick the thing up and shake it until all the kibble came out *sigh*

The boys however never figured that out....

I love Alvin. I don't care if he has 1 eye and a limp... he's just so squishable...
