Top Tag Pet ID

I haven't tried this, but thought it was a pretty good idea! Instead of just having your name and address on a pet tag, I thought it was cool that you could have all the information. Especially if you have a senior or special needs dog. Here, check it out. What'dya think??

It's also cool because you can put info on it if your dogs going to a petsitter or something, and you don't have time to give them all the info, or you leave something out. I'd like to buy one, but it's a bit expensive for my budget. Oh well! I guess I'll stick to the old fashioned way!!

The only thing I'd worry about is what if the waterproof case popped open and the flash drive fell out? >O_O;<

I don't think its a good idea because if a person that finds the lost dog is very particular about their computer and would be afraid to plug it into their computer because they fear it will be infected with a virus or if it was a low income person that finds it and doesn't have a computer then they would have trouble finding a computer to plug it into.

Gimicky. We'll stick to regular ol' id tags. We use two different kinds, depending on if the dog is home or if we're travelling. The travelling tags are engraved on both sides.

I wouldn't trust the memory to be reliable enough to stay for an extended, or any period of time. Flash memory can be randomly deleted or corrupted and I wouldn't be confident that if lost the finder would be able to get all or any of the information needed.

Re: Top Tag Pet ID

For me, you can't beat having good old fashioned tags.

There's a girl on ebay who sells double sided engraved tags (I think her id is rossipettags). They're really cheap too. I think my double-sided tag was $6something with free shipping. I got on Chloe's tag:
Name--in a pretty font
an image (I just chose a swirly design in the bottom point of the heart)
address
phone number
cell number
license number
microchip number

and I still had another line I could have used--could have put a medical thing in that line. No technology needed there. Here's the picture of the one I had done.
