Re: QuickFinder Clippers

I saw that gadget in a dog magazine a few months ago but haven't seen it marketed anywhere.

That looks like a really great product! The only problem, there are not that many dogs that will stay still for you to cut their nails regularly, how many will stay still for the light to change?

Re: QuickFinder Clippers

Many dogs would stay put for nail clipping if it wasn't for the one time their owner accidentally nicked a quick and hurt them. And of course if they spent time desensitizing them to the whole process.

The video isn't loading fluently for me, actually not at all, but I assume it's a type of laser that has a green light when it's safe to cut?

I personally wouldn't use it, but I know a lot of people that could benefit. A lot of the people at school have dogs that will voluntarily sit to have their nails done, but the owners are the ones that are nervous! LOL

I think it's an excellent idea, I just wonder how it actually works and how close you can cut to the quick.

Go to amazon.com and look for reviews. You can find just about anything there.

I asked my vet about the quickfinder clippers, and he said it is much more important to have a sharp clipper so that you don't squeeze the nail.

After reading the thread on the new product, peticure, I think I am going to buy a dremel tool at Target and try that (the dremel, not the peticure). I hate cutting my dogs' nails. I'm always afraid I will hurt them.
