Re: Outrageous!

I hate stupid people like that. How can they treat those poor animals that way?

Re: Outrageous!

OMG those poor animals!!! Wow this is one of the few times I'm way to angry to scream at someone. I'm so glad for the puppies that survived, heartbreaking to hear about the mom, and very enraging to that other guy that just wanted to kill his dog, I agree of it was injured or sick he would care enough to cry and explain why....JERKS!!!! Likewise with the baseball bat. I'm going to be working soon as vet tech, I'm still unsure about how to handle people like that, God bless you hun you have the patience of a saint!

RonE will become famous soon enough
Re: Outrageous!

I can see the headlines now (on page 18):

FORMER VETERINARY ASSISTANT PETITIONS COURT TO ALLOW PLOTT HOUND AS CELL-MATE FOLLOWING CONVICTION FOR AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

And I'd be posting tips on dogforums on things like Playing Fetch in Small Spaces and How to Keep Your Dog's Coat Glossy Despite Prison Food.

That poor bitch and puppies.

I have to say I'm glad he doesn't have her to neglect anymore. Some people......

I just can't imagine someone having that attitude.

I'm sorry I'm coming in a little late on this discussion, but I was wondering about something. Why didn't your vet charge him for everything he did - like the fluids and the what nots? If anyone shouldn't get a reduction in costs, it should be this guy. Since he's obviously looking to make a profit, wouldn't paying the full amount help discourage him from ever doing this again? If I were a vet, I'd save my generosity for the people who are having money difficulties, but have a sincere desire to save their beloved dog's life from an unexpected illness, or for those that rescue dogs.

I agree! I actually asked someone on Friday about that and they said they only did an exam. I thought they'd done other things too, but they actually told the guy after hearing the pup's 'lungs' that there was no fluids or treatments that would save it. And they actually charged him 42 to a full exam when really it should have been 18 for the brief exam...so that makes it a little more okay on our vets part. The vet is still furious with this guy! It's despicable isn't it?
