No, she's been on here before...We are all pretty sure she is a troll, or at least is just pretending to have a puppy.

You know it is kind of sad that some of you people on this board are just here to attack me. All I did was ask for a little advice and what do I get? snippy comments. Well If some people don't believe me fine, thats ok. I know that it is true. I have the pee stains to show it.

Re: Oh My God!!!

Okay, BabySophieCorgiEyes - here's the deal. There are just too many holes and inconsistancies in your puppy story. Some of us are very skeptical. We think you're making up the whole thing.

I don't know why anyone would do that, but it happens all the time and we don't like it. There are enough real problems and questions to deal with without worrying about pretend ones.

If you DO have a new puppy, I am alarmed and concerned that you may be the person with the primary responsibility for a puppy's care. You seem to have very unrealistic expectations and some bizarre notions about canine behavior.

On the other hand, a virtual puppy (e.g. Gigapet) probably CAN be housebroken in a few days.

You don't even know me, so you shouldn't be saying things based on what you think you know. That is just bad manors. I have been taking really great care of sophie. It is not that I expect her to be housetrained in a few days, its just I didn't expect her to have six accidents in one day. I am even starting to teach her off, which is like she backs away from something that could hurts her. She really is a smart puppy. I adore her, shes sweet, funny, some what gentle, and most of all she loves her mommy aka me. I can't go anywhere without my little kissing machine.

Here she is sleeping on my bed, se loves being up there. Although I hate it when she jumps off the bed, because she could really hurt herself, being that she is so small.

You don't know much about corgis do you? As she got bigger her marking got smaller. It is the same puppy. Sallys just been gone all weekend. Trust me, my butt still hurts from the fifteen hour drive to and from Iowa.

Re: Oh My God!!!

The markings ARE different. Not smaller, just different. The picture you posted has very round markings, while the one on the website has almost flame-like markings.

And on the website, it says that they will ship the puppies, at the owners expense. Why didn't you have her shipped, instead of driving fifteen hours?

Guys - it is really so important that we continue to dig for dirt and name call? Why not just answer the question and leave it be? Is it really so necessary to drag at this?

Baby sophiecorgieyes - you will need to be very patient with this pup....with all puppies really. Just make sure you give her alot of love...corgis are wildly smart little buggers and they are very affectionate...the one we had in our puppy class was very quick to pick up training with lures, usually in a class or too....potty training though is always something that takes time.

Jaylie - I flew to Holland to go meet my breeder, and the pup was supposed to come on my plane with me...sadly things didnt work out that way...in fact I am still sitting in Newark International waiting for this delay to go away. Fifteen hours isnt that much if it makes the pup more comfortable and if you can make sure that is the exact pup you want.

Re: Oh My God!!!

Something is definitely fishy here. But on the off chance that you are just an extremely naive and unknowledgeable first time owner I'll tell you a couple things. 1. They don't give rabies shots to 3 month old puppies. And, 2. much of her behavior is normal puppy behavior and/or normal herding breed behavior.

And, if you decide to take her for agility lessons and never compete or compete and quit, she will NOt turn into a "bad seed."

Oh thank goodness!

Sorry I had to grab sophie and run her out the door so she wouldn't poop in the house once again. Thank goodness I caught her in the act and that I know her "I'm gonna poop here if you dog stop me" body language.

This is the method I am using, it makes training easier then puppies for dummies.

I actually drove, because it was cheaper and heck then I got to do some bonding and meet her mamma and daddy. They are really sweet, I'd never seen so many corgi's before. They were all so adorable. I got to go, sophie is just dying to take a nap on my bed.

Re: Oh My God!!!

Next time you get a puppy hopefully you will learn a bit more about puppies in general and a bit more about the breed as well BEFORE you bring it home. All that you are describing sounds like normal puppy behaviour to me. Also if she is a corgi she is a herding dog and therefore will be high energy and very nippy as well...thats what herding dogs are supposed to be like.
And if you start her in agility and than suddenly stop the only thing that wil turn her into this supposed "bad seed" would be if you left her inthe house and never walked her ever again or if you only put her in your back yard to exercise, well if you have a back yard that is. Because that would drive her bonkers.
I hope you will consider buying some more books on raising puppies and talk to the breeder about training issues as well....if they are good responsible breeders they will be more than happy to give you advice and help.
If you don't want her to chew things than give her toys and make sure she knows what are her toys. To stop the accidents and potty train her, mucho patients are required because smaller dogs can take longer to potty train. You should consider crate training her. Basically she is put into the crate when she is not being supervised and when she is out she goes out for a potty every one to two hours. When she goes outside she gets LOTS of treats and praise. If she nips at you then ignor her for a minute. She will not like being ignored and should stop nipping at you, and make sure when you play with her you have her toys near so you can grab those and play with those as well. If you want her to not be agressive towards other dogs than get her into puppy classes right away and agility will also provide a great way for her to socialize with other dogs as well. Having a DA dog means you won't be able to compete in trials so teaching her social skills are a must.

Chloef - she is trying to learn now. Isnt that more important than the countless number of people who never do learn?

After viewing the breeders website I'm a bit curiuosand confused by this statement. The breeder curently has 34 puppies for sale!, and that's just from the pages that she updated yesterday I seriously think I'm going to be sick after counting all those puppies. If your puppy was only kept with 2 other puppies and 5 adults, where the heck is she keeping all the other dogs that she owns? From some of your previous post I got the impresion that you went to the breeders house to get your pup, did you see where she was keeping all the other dogs? Someone is seriously wrong here and the numbers just don't add up, I'm getting the impresion that someone is a big fat liar and unfortunatley if was probably the "breeder" that lied to the OP.

Jaylie-the pups do have similar markings and could very well be the same pup. It's difficult to tell since the pic is so small. The only marking that I can see that might be incosistent is the facial marking on the muzzle.

BSCE- do you have anymore pictures of her? she's really cute! I just love corgi's when they're little they have the cutest ears. Maybe you could have someone hold her on the leash so you can get some close up shots of her. You should try using photobucket to upload your pictures, it's really easy to use and it doesn't turn your cute pictures into itty bitty thumbprints.

Yes it is important that she is trying to learn a bit more now which is why I gave her advice instead of nothing but lectures. However I do hope that next time she decides to buy a puppy she learns something about them before they come home instead of comming onto a website to find advice and then getting upset when people tell her like it is.
