No, it's not marking territory. Are the stools solid or liquid? How long is the pup expected to hold it before being walked and allowed to go? |

| Re: pup craps in three/four different spots? being walked and allowed to go? the stool is not so hard or soft, it's fairly solid i guess. used to be liquid few days after i got the pup. he wasn't looked after at all. had fleas and was fat. gotta take him to vet to get vaccinated and desexed soon.. + a flea collar ;]
but yeah i don't get that whole crapping in all different places. he takes one... sniffs everywhere and stops to take another. it's like he's looking for other places to do the rest of it. |

| Re: pup craps in three/four different spots? It's nothing. It's just something some puppies do. I know quite a few who do that, plus my puppy Blitz does that. Usually they grow out of it when they're four or five months old, but if they don't grow out of it by then, it'll probably take a few years. |

| Re: pup craps in three/four different spots? How old is the puppy? And if he's small enough to pick up watch that pup like a hawk. Once the signs of a "drop" are occuring pick him up take him outside, let him do his business, praise, and then bring inside for a treat. He should pick up on it fairly fast. The 1st month I got a puppy I never took my eyes off of them....literally....lol. |

If it's all at once you should be able to get him before he moves to the second spot and take him outside real quick. It know it's hard, puppies are quick! |

| Re: pup craps in three/four different spots? oh no, this is all outside. i've learnt my mistakes. it's done it inside before twice but i watch it all the time. it sleeps in my room and when i hear it get up i take it outside and it does it's thing. few times he takes a leak but that's because i took too long to take it outside. yeah, it is hard ;/
by the way... the place the pup was taken from wasn't a very clean area. it has fleas, tapeworm (i seen it in his stool a few times) a lump on his neck (check other post - has a cut/scar... infected cut maybe full of fatty tissue maybe). this isn't a healthy pup ;/ - taking it to the vet asap. |

| Re: pup craps in three/four different spots? lol, i guess you could say he is. my brother got him from someones house and told me they are dirty people. i bet he got fleas from that house. it would of probably died living there... the people were poor or something apparently and didn't look after it at all. |

| Re: pup craps in three/four different spots? Poor puppy!
Going potty in several spots in just a dog thing, I think. I have 3 dogs and ALL of them do that. I don't think that it is anything to worry about. It's just frustrating for us during late night potty breaks when they just seem to be content taking their own sweet time, while I'm half asleep and want to go back to bed! |
