My 11wk old puppy wont walk on a lesh! can somebody help me?

What I did with my pup first was walk around in the yard, having him follow me. After a week or two of this, I put a leash on him and let him walk around with it to get him used to the feeling of having something on his collar. At this time, I didn't hold the leash, I just walked around with him, supervising him. Then I would start picking up the leash every now and then for a few seconds at a time to get him used to the feeling of having me hold it. Then I'd drop it and let him walk with it on the ground again. I alternated back and forth between this. This worked really well for us. But you didn't say exactly what the problem with your puppy is---what does he do?

Haven't met a puppy yet that likes being introduced to a leash. I bought one of those very thin nylon leashes and used that for the 'getting used to it' stage. Chazz would wear it in the house and it actually worked well. It was also handy to grab onto him if he looked like he was headed for trouble, which was quite often.

I did the same as Renoman. I bought one of those thin nylon leashes and put it on Mazie's collar and she just drug it around the house with her. Of course under very extreme supervision. After a week I would start picking the leash up for about 5 minutes at a time and she eventually got used to it. Now when she wants outside she will get her leash and bring it to me.

I would also along with the good advise above bate the pup to walk with you so she will and look at the leash as a great thing.
