Hmm.........idk. This is a small thread you have. Hmm......be more specific. Does she just get her food bowl and goes out?? Oh! Maybe your Pitbull wants to feed birds! J/K.

Because if bones are going to rain down from heaven, there's no better place than to have her bowl outside.

Re: food bowl

Sometimes dogs can just be wierd and carry things around...we had a boxer lab who carried his bowl, my husbands' tool belt, garden tools, all kinds of things, out into the yard. He liked rearranging things.

Then there is that raining bones thing...that could be it.

LOLLLL!!
You could get a heavier bowl. Like a ceramic bowl made in the US or canada. ( I say US or canada because the glazing has to be safe for humans- less likely to get glaze that can deteriote off the bowl and be consumed).
We had a shepherd that liked to do that. After awhile we figured she just wanted her bowl out there to make sure she didnt miss when it was feeding time. LOL
If the dog brings the bowl back in when its time to come in- thats probably it... Hard to say- but getting a heavier bowl like a ceremic one stopped it. ( couldnt pick it up..)

Re: food bowl

Sounds like she thinks its a new toy in the yard.. lol.. Do the exchange method. ie- after she eats "exchange the bowl " for a toy like a new tennis ball. I would also change her bowl if this continues. Something that is harder to carry. Could be a combination of wanting a new toy to play with ( after all a metal bowl is fun- it bangs etc.. lol..

Re: food bowl

If she's a puppy the cold metal might feel good to her if she's teething. I had a puppy who loved to chew on cold things when she was teething. Not really sure. I would use the method that borzoimom explained. Give her maybe a frozen and stuffed kong.
