| All 66 of the dogs seized in the raid of Vick's house are likely to be euthanized. http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/ATL/10193785 Quote: |
CHESAPEAKE, Va. (May 23, 2007) -- Dozens of dogs seized in an investigation into possible dogfighting on land owned by Atlanta Falcons star Michael Vick likely would be euthanized if investigators determine they are fighting dogs, the Humane Society said.
| I think its for the best The dogs are were kept in cages all their lives and only let out to do fight related things. They will never find a good home because they will always be a threat. For once I agree with the govt |

| Re: All 66 of the dogs seized in the raid of Vick's house are likely to be euthanized No surprise to me. That is the fate of dogs forced to fight. They normally can't be considered safe after the abuse they suffered at the hands of cruel people.
I've heard people say that they are only trained to be dog aggressive, but with the abusive techniques used by people they are just a step away from human aggression. The "techniques" are physical abuse most of the time. |

| Re: All 66 of the dogs seized in the raid of Vick's house are likely to be euthanized I don't think Michael Vick represents humans, the NFL, the Atlanta Falcons, the South or any other group. He is all about Michael Vick.
Since it's probably not going to be possible to throw him in the ring periodically to be maimed and then starved between fights, here is the realistic fate I visualize for him. He gets suspended by the NFL commissioner, who seems to have less patience with thugs than previous commissioners. After a year, he has to petition the NFL for reinstatement. Since he is incapable of going for twelve months without breaking the law, his career is over.
Nobody is going to hire him to be a sports commentator, sponsor, motivational speaker or coach. He'll have to work for a living, and it'll kill him. |

If he was some nameless lineman we wouldnt even be having this convo, but since hes a superstar in the league who rushed over 1000 yards its not going to be that easy for the commissioner to bench Vick. |

Uhh...It was his house, right??? |

| Re: All 66 of the dogs seized in the raid of Vick's house are likely to be euthanized I certainly hope that Vick gets suspended like in RonE's scenario above. The current commissioner is much stricter and has the nickname "the Principal". I worry, though, that if Vick gets out of any criminal convictions, that the commissioner may not suspend him. Hope this isn't true, but in the back of my mind that worry lingers. |

| Re: All 66 of the dogs seized in the raid of Vick's house are likely to be euthanized I think they should use him as a bate dog to train the fighters! If he is looking at jail time that would be hard to play for the NFL from there. Quote:

I just purchased a braclet that was expensive that says I love my Dawg. I am only kidding with you but when I saw that I thought I should return the braclet.

| Re: All 66 of the dogs seized in the raid of Vick's house are likely to be euthanized This is horrible - but I need to know something.
Were they Michael's or Marcus' dogs? Michael has been a hero and a role model for students at Virginia Tech for years...heck...I remember watching him on TV years ago when I had just decided I wanted to attend that school....Marcus on the other hand is a total screw up and an idiot to boot...I feel like its more likely that it would be him.
If it's michael though....omg...I have this sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. |

Hopefully the authorities can connect the dots so he will be booted out of the NFL. |

| Re: All 66 of the dogs seized in the raid of Vick's house are likely to be euthanized The dogs were found in a house belonging to Michael. Michael does not live there. His cousin does. Michael swears he has no idea what goes on there. There have been lots of allegations but no legal proof - yet.
Marcus is a gun runner. Family gatherings must be interesting.
Personally, I would start looking for a new role model and hero. Michael either fights dogs or is involved with people who do. Either is despicable. |
