Re: Puppys ears mutilated by owner

People that harm animals make me sick. How could someone do this? I firmly believe that whatever cruelty they bestow upon an innocent animal they should have done to them. I also like some of the other suggestions that have been posted here The poor dog.

I know though that behind the scenes, no matter what the law states, that shelter workers and SPCA officers do whatever is humanly possible to prevent the abuser from reclaiming the dog or cat or whatever animal is involved. They have to abide by the laws, however, in most cases, they have found ways to circumvent, bend or interpret the laws in ways that benefit the abused animal. Any good shelter would not give this poor creature back to this guy, but they have to work it within the confines of the law.

That is just plain sick and disturbing. If that guy is willing to treat a defenseless animal that way I pray to God he doesn't have children of his own, I couldn't imagine what else he is capable of. People have animals put down for biting, gee I wonder why they would have issues in the 1st place thanks to jerks like him. I agree, eye for an eye,ear for an ear. Karma will find its way to him, I don't doubt that a minute I just hope its as painful as what that poor dog went through. It really does just enrage me people doing animals in like that, Anyone ever watch animal cops on animal planet. I can't believe some of the things people actually get away with. People can be the cause of helpless, multiple animal deaths simply by slowly starving them or putting them in such conditions they die of disease, and yet they get away with just $500 fine!!!??? People can get the same for littering or parking in a tow away zone, ITS OBSURD!!!!

Re: Puppys ears mutilated by owner

I was watching my local news station last night and they had a follow up story on A.K. He has been adopted by a new family and it looks like they are going to suit him very well. His ears are completely healed and he loks like a happy healthy puppy minus his ears. And his previous owner is going to be punnished to the full extent of the law. Which basically means he will get a few days in jail and a fine of like $5000.00 (I think it might be $2000.00). Oh and he won't be able to own any anomals for three years....woopeedoo. I am mad that the jerk who did that to him won't be punnished more severely but they are going to be changing the laws. Some of the MP's and MPP's are trying to introduce a new bill to help strengthen the animal cruelty laws in Ontario.
