A breed I haven't seen in years.(irish setters)

I was wondering if anyone here raises irish setters?I've always had a soft spot for these beautiful dogs and have wanted one since I was a child.Hopefully that dream will come true one day.I was wondering why you never see them anymore.I see English and the occasional Gordon but haven't seen an irish in over 15 years. They used to be a popular dog during the 80's,they've seemed to lost their popularity and I was curious why?

I see Irish Setters all the time. One of our clients has 2 that they show, I also go to dogs shows every 2-3 weeks. There's quite a few around and still have a devoted following, you just have to know where to look If you go to the AKC website you can find what events are happening in your area, there's usually 15-20 Irish Setters in each show.

I see them fairly often, too. I love them, and still miss my Molly-B-Good! She matched the color of my 1973 Monte Carlo! LOL

I just saw one walking with his owner the other day and I had to pull the car ove to talk to him. I haven't seen one in years, my Grandfather had one named Mike and did he love to run! So there isn't to many in our area.
