Re: Shalva's puppy xray.....

very cool!!

One medical question though, is the x-ray harmful to the puppies? Pregnant women have ultrasounds... just wondering.

Re: Shalva's puppy xray.....

WOW that is the clearest image I have ever seen of little babies! How precious. I can't wait to see pictures of when they're born. Please continue to share this wonderful experience with us!

Shalva's a gorgeous dog by-the-way - infact all your dogs are. It's wonderful seeing them doing what they love. I find great pleasure in seeing people work their dogs and just have fun.

Re: Shalva's puppy xray.....

thanks for the kind words about shalva and the pups, I appreciate it.... I work very hard at making sure that we are doing things the way that they should be done and I appreciate your comments.

I will definitely post puppy pics once the babies are born which should be in just a few days now.
thanks

Re: Shalva's puppy xray.....

That's pretty cool looking. I don't think I would have been able to see a couple of the puppies without the numbers.

You breed curly coated retrievers right? What color pups do you think are going to come from this litter?

Re: Shalva's puppy xray.....

actually you are close but a bit off..... these are flat coated retrievers and while the dad does carry liver, my girl only carries black so we will have a whole litter of little black flat coats in a few days.

the flat coats can look wavy when they are messy like my kids were that day running in our fields.... curlies have a very very tight curl to them almost like an old 70s perm...... up close you could see the difference clearly.

Re: Shalva's puppy xray.....

Shalva, do you radiograph all your dogs before they have their puppies?

Re: Shalva's puppy xray.....

yes
I want to know how many puppies to expect .... that way if there is a problem and we have 4 puppies and everything stops, I know there are more pups in there and that there is a problem vs. not being sure if that is all the pups that we have and assuming that everything is fine.
its a safety thing for me.

Re: Shalva's puppy xray.....

Yeah, knowing for sure how many to expect gives you great peace of mind im sure.

Are dogs from a reputable breeder generally more expensive than dogs from a regular breeder?
