| What is the grossest thing your dog has eaten? The grossest thing my dogs have eaten? Well Sadie's was today, she was eating the worms in the back yard. I watered the lawn and she was yanking the worms out of the grass and gobbling them down like spaghetti. The grossest thing Chloe has eaten besides poop was ABC gum from the sidewalk. I had to get it out of her mouth with my bare fingers.....EEWW!!! |

| Re: What is the grossest thing your dog has eaten? We have woods in my back yard and my dog has dug up dear bones more then a couple of time. He chews on them for a bit and then goes and burries them somewhere. It's gross, but it's his thing and it cleans his teeth so I just deel with it. |

| Re: What is the grossest thing your dog has eaten? My lab ate a live mouse. The tail was sticking out of his mouth - twitching, actually - and, when I said, "Hey, drop the mouse!" he looked right at me and went, "Whept!" like somebody eating spaghetti, and it was gone. I believe he swallowed it whole.
He had the healthiest-looking stools for several days afterwards and I thought about getting him some more mice.
I wouldn't know where to start with Esther. |

| Re: What is the grossest thing your dog has eaten? lol, yeah Chloe catches mice al the time. Its funny to see her walking around the back yard with one in her mouth. She won't look at me and she acts all guilty by making herself all small and low to the ground and she drops it ever so softly on my shoe. |

| Re: What is the grossest thing your dog has eaten? I found a wasp flying around my apartment and showed Lily since she is a great hunter. She swatted at it a couple times and then just like a snake she attacked it and swallowed it whole!! I was afraid it might sting her but nothing happened. It was buzzing all the way until she swallowed it, then it didnt make a peep! |

| Re: What is the grossest thing your dog has eaten? My friends cat eats used kleenex. She has to keep him out of the bathroom because he will go into the garbage find the snotty kleenex's in the garbage basket and hide them in his bed so he can eat them later. On the bright side however.....he doesn't have to wipe, orstleast thats what her boyfriend says, haha! |

| Re: What is the grossest thing your dog has eaten? My sisters dogs used to go out and catch an kill rabbits. Once they killed a mom and my sister had her husband go out and get all the babies so they could keep them from getting killed. it was kind of sad but that's life.
Edit- My friends chihuahua goes to the parks and eats goose poo and then goes home and throws it all up on her carpet. It's pretty sick. |

| Re: What is the grossest thing your dog has eaten? Good topic, my 8 month old poodle comes to attention now when he hears the cat making pre-barfing noises. I have to really be on my toes to beat him to what he thinks is "soft dogfood" |

I thought birds were a cats thing, not a dogs. |

| Re: What is the grossest thing your dog has eaten? Chloe caught a praying mantis before and it bit her so she yelped and dropped it and started barking at it as it scuttled back into the bushes.
Eating beetles wouldn't give them worms I don't think. Grass would be more of a culprit or poop. |

| Re: What is the grossest thing your dog has eaten? My hound eats anything she can get into her little mouth before I snatch it away, like live mice, poop, mud clumps, and last winter, she dug a frozen frog out of a partially frozen puddle (yuck)
My lab mainly just eats bugs.
My saint bernard just loves poop (gross). The other day he was drinking out of his water bowl and a small piece of pooh plopped out of his mouth into the water bowl while he was drinking. It was so nasty. Oh, he's also eaten half of a dead bird, yuck. |
