Introducing a new dog

I have two male neutered Silky terriers. I have had them both since they were pups. One is 8 and one is 9. We recently adopted a purebred Westie from the Humane Society. She has been a poorly cared for breeder dog all her life. She was recently spayed. I've only been around her for a short period of time, but she seems shy and loving. I'd love any advice anyone could give me about how to properly introduce her to the 2 very spoiled and rambunctious boys I have now. Anyone got any suggestions or experience? I know its going to be extremely hard for my younger dog because he's very jealous of anyone that gets any affection besides him. I'd love your input.

Its a good idea to first introduce them on neutral territory if possible. When you do bring him into the house be sure your resident dogs get more rather than less attention from you so that they have nothing to be worried about. I'm sure others with have further suggestions too.

Good luck!

Thanks alot for your advice. Giving the dogs extra attention was something I hadn't thought about at all.
