We have a Brittany Spaniel who is 8 years old, and has had a font leg/knee issue for about a year...it has progressed into only being able to walk for about 10 minutes ON A LEASH without his foot getting very sore. We've had x-rays taken and there or no signs of arthritis or any tiny fractured bones. Our vet seems to think that there is a ligament or tendon that might be injured, and hasn't had time to heal. She suggested that Jesse rest for 2 solid weeks (this is no an easy talk for a Brittany or any other dog for that matter). Just wondering if anyone knows what might be causing this problem. Oh yes, and anti-inflamatory pet drugs do not seem to help.
