I don't think "the same as" would be correct. What you just outlined was a definition for some other registry tapping into the purebred sport for their own benefits, and giving BYB's and Puppy stores a cheaper way to register their poorly bred animals and sell them to the ignorant public.

And yes, they do have shows.

I've never heard of ACA.

Simply put, it's just another cheapy registry to add value to poorly bred animals. Anyone chanting "ACA, APRI, CKC Registered!" (Continental) - should be pelted with rocks and scalding oil.
