| Re: North Carolina, close by, going there, etc - Plz View You know, these men don't look very happy abuot doing what they must. Some of those were just puppies, and it was an extremely sad video to watch. But the people to blame are the ones who have let the dogs get to this point. The people who don't spay or neuter their animals. I live in eastern North Carolina and we have a shelter that does everything they can do stop the overcrowded dog and cat population. They offer free spay and neutering certificates for those who can't afford it, they give you a coupon when you adopt a puppy or animal to have them spayed or neutered. It is up to the community to do what they are supposed to do. It is not the workers fault and there are not enough people to adopt all of these animals. From someone who has adopted 3 dogs from the shelter, I can say that it is heartbreaking to see what is brought into the shelter. Instead of fighting back and forth on these posts, maybe you can put all of you guys energeries in another area to try and help do something about it. I undestand all of ya'lls frustration, but sitting around griping about it isn;t helping to save any more animals lives. There is only so much room and manpower at local shelters and I do believe that in MOST places, these people to the best jobs they can under the horrible circumstances they are in. |
