Some things that were discussed during the hearings:
1. The FDA inspects only
30% of the pet food manufacturing facilities
once every three and a half years That should make everyone feel warm and fuzzy about what their dog or cat is eating.
2. Most of the officials of the Pet Food Industry didn't know much of anything, and most of their answers to the committe were " I don't Know" ....
3. Menu foods knew three weeks before they issued a recall, that they had serious problems with their products, but they distributed them anyway during that time.
