Question Yellow lawn

Any advice on what to give dogs to stop the yellowing of the lawn where they pee? My dog instructor says she's heard of tomato sauce helping (putting it in dogs food weekly), but I'm searching for any known suggestions (from people who have actually tried it). Thanks!

Re: Yellow lawn

My known suggestion is to have my dogs eliminate in a specific part of the yard only. Every few years, when the grass is completely gone, my husband rakes up the dirt and re-seeds.
The other thing you can do is immediately soke the area there they urinated with a hose. Be sure to completely saturatee the soil, and then son=me. By diluting the urine youshould dilute the harmful effects.

There are drops you can buy to lower the acidity of your dog''s urine but i do not recommend it at all! That means messing with the PH livels and who knows what long term effects that could have! You are better off just to soak the are every time your dog pees if it really matter to you what colour your lawn is.

Orange County Ca is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: Yellow lawn

I agree with OC about messing with a dog's chemical intake just to eliminate the spots. I Googled* it and there were many ideas none of which claimed a total cure except the one that said to mark off in your mind a few square yards in a corner and teach Fido to go there.

*Yep it's a noun now.
