Re: Multi dog toys

LOTS...of toys! I have two dogs as well and we often have more since my daughter dogsits for everyone in the neighborhood. So it's not unusual for us to have 4-5 dogs around at times. I use PetEdge and JeffersPet online to buy my toys cheaper. The retail stores near me are very expensive. I can get them online for 1/2 price or less sometimes. I buy lots of toys, separate them into 3-4 baskets, and rotate the baskeets so they are never bored.

I especially like kongs, the original triangular hollow ones. I keep lots of them around, stuff with goodies and freeze. When the dogs start getting wound up or the weather has been too nasty for long daily hikes I break out the frozen kongs and everyone settles in for an hour or so of good fun. You will find lots of recipes for kong stuffings if you look around on the forum.

Most dogs we have around like tug toys. I usually just cut a long strips from an old clean towel and braid the strips for durability. These also can be thrown in the washer when they get dirty.

Some other tough toys are the hard rubber chew toys, nylabones, raw meaty bones. Our dogs like anything that squeaks (we just got a hedgehog that grunts...major big hit with the dogs!), interactive blocks and balls that dispense treats from inside as they are rolled around, ice cubes, frozen hot dogs, tennis balls...

Check out the selections on a couple of online sites and you will see a huge assortment of toys to choose from.

Re: Multi dog toys

our dogs love kongs, including the one that looks like a real tongue only larger, lmao. I make stuffed animals for the pit to shred. He cant seem to stop himself no matter how much we try to break him of it. It it has stuffing, he trys to literally kill it. if i make him one without stuffing he is the happiest little guy.

Bearla loves her stuffed teddy and god help any dog that touchs the first teddy that we ever got her. She thinks it is her baby or something.
