| Feels like i just gave them all away Since I have to work out of town tomorrow and wednesday for sure I just packed up Bailey, Kita and Meiko and brought them to the dog sitters for a few days. Im heart broken. Its the first time i have ever brought them there.
My house is SO empty now. Its just me and Puppy and he's going to my dads tomorrow morning.
I really dont understand how some people can just rehome a dog for no reason sometimes.
I cant imagine them never coming back
I cant wait until hopefully wednesday when I come home. I may have to stay untill thrusday though
sigh... I think im a nut case. Should this bother me so much? I mean , I have seperation anxiety from my dogs. |

I know it's hard. They'll be ok! You can call your dog sitter or request daily updates!
PS- don't be sad, Eeyore! |

| Re: Feels like i just gave them all away When our kids were younger, my wife would sometimes take them for a weekend to her sister's in Michigan. I would get very excited about having the house to myself for a few days and I'd imagine all the things I could get away with.
Ten minutes after they were gone I'd start to miss them. I feel the same way about the dogs now.
I don't worry about them, though. They go to a place that they enjoy immensely and they come home exhausted and happy. |

| Re: Feels like i just gave them all away I didnt even make it 10 minutes, I got all choked up and left before I upset the dogs, they were standing at the door as if to say " K mom lets go home now, you have your shoes on"
Its a wonderful place, I mean my dogs are going to be staying in the house, not in kennels, they have 3 lovely Labs to play with and they are in the country still.
To me its the dream boarding place, but I still feel so bad for leaving them. |

| Re: Feels like i just gave them all away Man, I am wishing I didn't open this thread. I will be taking Honey to get fixed next Monday, and she will stay overnight. I and starting to wonder how the kids, much less myself, will handle not having her by our sides when we are at home for that day. |

| Re: Feels like i just gave them all away Aww poor Wimble Woof! I can totally relate to you though! I am going to California to see my family on the 19th to the 25th. I'm excited to go, but I hate leaving Bridgette! My partner will be here so she'll be at home the whole time...but it's going to be really weird not having her around!
On the plus side I will be seeing my family's dog, Sandy (who we've had since I was in fourth grade....my first dog!). She's 12 now so I always fear it'll be the last time I see her since they are so far away. It'll be nice to see her! I am a little nervous though because my mom is always telling me about how she can't hear very well anymore and she sometimes lays facing the wall as if she doesn't realize it...my poor old girl! |

| Re: Feels like i just gave them all away wimble you made me cry hon. I dont know what i would do if i had to be seperated from Bearla or the others. I worry if i leave for a few hours. Most of the time someone is here for them but its just not the same as being there yourself. Im sending you a hug hon and hope that you get home to them real quick. Even though it is a nice place i can well imagine you will be afraid or worrying that they are being treated as you would. Think of this: When you get home they will be extra happy to be with you and will be all over giving you all of the love that they couldnt give while you were away from them.
Time will fly by really fast, keep a stiff upper lip. |

| Re: Feels like i just gave them all away This is one of the hardest decisions to make. I just can't imagine my two in a kennel or in a cage at the vet's and I can't afford the sitter to come in four times aday. I finally talked my granddaughter into staying with my parents (and my dogs). She'll get double pay, one for cooking and caring for the great grandparents and two for dog sitting. Should be a good week for her! Last year I stayed home from vacation to care for my diabetic dog, while my hubby went off to Quantico and DC.
I know what you are going through. It never is easy. |

| Re: Feels like i just gave them all away well i picked them up tonight, I ended up staying the whole week!!!!
They were great! When I got there my dogs were gone and so was the lady, she had taken them all for a walk down her bush trail as she did every night with them, Kita had a bit of issues the first day, she wouldnt look at the lady, she sat in the pen with Meiko and faced the corner while she was in there playing with Meiko. It took Kita a full day to come around to her, but when i picked her up she wasnt even overly excited to see me. That kinda made me feel better ( atleast I know she had fun) Bailey I think misses the ladys husband, apparently he clung to him and wouldnt leave his side, and now he seems sorta confused.
Meik is definately happy to be home! He was exstatic to see Guy ( my boyfriend) as he is Meiks favorite around here,
Im relieved to say that everyone, even myself survived!
I have to bring them back Monday and Tuesday again, but Im confident this time, and it wont be so hard! |

| Re: Feels like i just gave them all away I've been on trips before and Cassie just stays at home, since I live with my parents. I miss her like crazy, she whines when I leave and goes nuts when I come home. It sucks. |
