| Will Cassie Remember Me? This summer, I am going to Germany for 3 weeks on an exchange program. My mom and dad will be fully taking care of Cassie while I'm gone, but...will she remember me when I get back? My mom claims that her brother went to Air Force school or something for a few weeks and when he came back his dog would have nothing to do with him. Will this happen? I really hope not...I'm almost in tears just thinking about it. |

| Re: Will Cassie Remember Me? No, you'll be fine. I'm gone from my dogs for months sometimes and they're just always happy to see me when I get back. Usually they won't leave me alone and are with me 24/7 until the newness wears off LOL. |

| Re: Will Cassie Remember Me? I think she will remember you. Sebastian has been living with me for about 5yrs now and every once in a while he sees his previous owner and still gets very excited to see her...there is no doubt in my mind that he remembers her. |

| Re: Will Cassie Remember Me? Nope, I don't think you'll be forgotten over 3 weeks.
My best friends mum passed away a few years ago, and her dogs had to be rehomed. My friend ran into her mums old dog and new owners at Petsmart over 2 years later, and Digby still remembered her and got all excited when he saw her. |

| Re: Will Cassie Remember Me? Im pretty sure your dog will remember you. I worked for a breeder who had like 7 dogs and I worked there for 4 years, didnt own any of the dogs but saw them all almost everyday for 2-4 hours each time I worked. Last September I moved away, 3 months later I went back for Christmas break, and was wondering the same thing you are. Guess what, they ALL remembered me! some got more excited than others but even the 12 year old dog remembered me! |

| Re: Will Cassie Remember Me? I agree with the rest, Cassie will certainly remember you.
My mom, sisters, brother and I went to England for 3 months in the summer when I still lived at home. My dad stayed with Sandy the whole time and after 3 MONTHS she was SO EXCITED to see us!
Also they live in California now and I don't get to visit very much, but when I do Sandy goes nuts! She's funny too because she is whines like a maniac when she hasn't seen someone in a long time.
You'll be fine! |

| Re: Will Cassie Remember Me? Cassie Nova, when I was a youngster, we had a beagle named Charlie. There was a young man, a friend of the family, who lived with us for some time. He got drafted, went to basic training and then to VietNam. He was gone for over two years.
When he returned, he wanted to surprise us, so he walked the half-mile from the bus station to our house but, of course, we didn't know that. Suddenly, Charlie (who was inside the house) started howling like a maniac. I went outside to see what he was so excited about and there was our friend - still a block away where there was no chance the dog could see him.
Cassie will remember you. |

Back in the late 1960's; I got a friend's Boston Black Great Dane. He was not friendly to strangers AT ALL. Late one night; while I was walking him, A man crossed the street and; before I could warn him; came right up to my Sam. The dog was all over him, trying to lick him to death. I had owned Sam for about a yr and the friend I got him from had him about 4yrs. It turned out that the guy had Sam as a puppy, at least 5yrs before.
Don't worry, Cassie will remember!
God Bless All......Stan |
