Hi All,
I’m a volunteer with Pets In Need out of Dracut, MA. We are a very small shelter that is run like a non-profit (100% of donations and adoption fees go directly to our animals). In January we took in three plott hounds that were taken away from there owner by the state because he always left them outside, didn’t give them proper vet care and didn’t feed them properly. We have been doing our best to find a place for these dogs. To date, we’re found a home for one of them, have an adoption in the works for another and the third we haven’t had any applications or interest in from potential adopters. This third dog’s name is Clyde. He loves people but, being used to hunt, he doesn’t do well with cats. He will put up with other dogs (likes female dogs) but would rather be an only dog. We treated him for heartworms and will be removing a fatty tumor (non-cancerous) soon. I’m telling you this story because I'm hoping to find him a forever home soon. We do not euthanize at Pets In Need but are forced to send him to another more main stream shelter in the hopes that they can find him a home. I'm trying to find him a home before this happens. If anyone has any interest in meeting Clyde or learning more about him, please contact me.
Thank you,
Karen (Pets In Need Volunteer)
